This was my first real woodworking project since wood shop in school, 20 years ago. I signed up to a bring-your-own-wood-and-work-on-your-own-projects evening class at one of the local community colleges in Göteborg on a whim with no real idea what I wanted to do there other than that I wanted to learn more about hand tools. To the first class, I brought the only real wood I had at home – a piece of home center glued-up beech shelf. This is what it became.

I remember getting a toolbox gift set from my Grandfather when I was about 5 or 6 years old. It had one of these included. I never could figure out what it was. Now I wish I still had it!!!

Looks fantastic!
