On this one, I had so many problems, I just wanted to get it done. It was a design I wanted to try, and I will be making another one with this design, as I learned what not to do with this one.
it is a mix of oak purple heart jelutong and cherry, and I like the mix of woods, but the design was a pain to build. I accidentally cut off one of the legs, decided to leave the legs out, then changed my mind and glued them back on. when I made the next one, I am not putting the curve in the legs, and will probably just have them coming straight out at an angle rather than round them off. I will also leave the thicker, as it just feels too delicate and like it might break easily.
again, putting the jelutong next to the purple heart was problematic for sanding, and I will be using much harder wood in the future. I really like the idea behind this one, and will make another, but for today I have to go to work…
Thanks for checking!
