After carving Mr. Frumpy I decided to try to carve another caricature today for more practice. I named this one Ray and decided to work on my painting too. Besides having alot of fun today, I found out that I need more practice and carving and painting. I am really starting to like this hobby. Thanks.

I’m glad its fun for you. It will certainly be delightful for all who get to meet Ray. Don’t let up Mike, I’m sure there are many more fun and interesting characters you can introduce us to. Thanks for sharing.

Mike that is pretty impressive – especially if I’m reading right and this is only your second try. Well done, glad to meet Ray.

Very well done carving Mike. I hope you keep at it. It seems you have many different woodworking skills and they are all good!

I love that you put his hands in his pockets. Fingers are hard to carve. Keep doing it!

Isn’t having fun what a hobby is all about? I am glad it is for you; it certainly is for me! I have just one small problem with caricature carving. I can’t stop where you did. Something inside me will keep bugging me to sand it smooth and to keep going until it is “finished”. You’re doing great for only the second project!
