I call this Diamonds in the Rough because it is my first attempt to cut in a diamond pattern and from the looks of things I could use some experience. I did not want to copy anyone exactly so I did change it up a bit & added a double sided top ring, the out side is checkered and the inside is basket weave. The lower portion of the inside is Flocked black felt (to hide even more mistakes) All in all I do like this bowl. You may criticize without reservations.

I think it is well done. Like the idea of two sided rim. I am not to fond of the flocking on the inside but I DO understand the reason behind it. I have had to get creative to hid some things many times.

I’m not a turner but I think it looks great. I’m always amazed at what you guys who turn can come up with.
