About to try my hand at building a box with veneer inlay and didnt want to clamp the piece down to the top of my workbench so I built this this morning. 3/4 ply and some 10/4 oak cut down. Should be plenty strong. We will see tomorrow after the lid emerges!

Good looking press but I think you have the screw collars on upside down.

I just made a similar one a few days ago and my first glue-up turned out just fine. Have fun with it!

Let me know how it turns out. I acquired several sheets of veneer and laminate that I need to work into some projects…..

Nice little press. It should work fine. Another veneer box builder is welcome! Looking forward to seeing the first product of the new press.
