While making this mirror to kill time i was inspired to make the wacked out mahogany mirror you may have seen in my projects. It’s very simple, but i didnt have much of this beautiful cherry and i couldn’t throw it away.

This is a nice looking mirror. How wide is your frame? Is the finish a wipe on poly?
Wonderful project. Cherry is my favorite wood with which to work.

the frame is 13” x 8 1/2”. the finish is a catalyzed lacquer, sprayed on, 3 coats, scuffed with 220 between each.

It’s amazing how sometimes the best way to show off beautiful wood like this is by making something simple like this mirror. Sometimes I think I over-design when it is unnecessary. Well done.

That is spectacular. It’s one of those projects that you see where the wood itself is the star. Nice job.

Wow! I LOVE the wood! Is that a veneer, or is it solid?
