I wasn’t sure how this combination would work, but it looks OK to me.
KC twist pen in satin nickel with pau amerello, yellowheart. Stuff acts like walnut when turned.

I like that.No metal ring in the middle. Really nice work. I like yellow heart also. Can I ask you who makes the kit ?

Ed, it is an Artisan KC twist pen kit. I got it from CSUSA but I think other places also sell them.
The clip and cap are a bit of a pain to keep lined up while you press them in. Because of the wide center it puts more pressure on the clip where it touches the wood. This one is actually not as wide at the center as the last one or that the directions suggest. I also did not put as high a shinny finish on the yellow one because of the satin hardware.
Below is the first one of this kit. No need for CA on this stuff!
