Decided to try my hand at a mystery cube puzzle to try out my new drill press and forstner bit, and a chunk of basswood I liberated from my wife’s carving stash. :-) Turned out really well. I finished it with two coats of natural danish oil.

This is a fun project. I watched steve do this on a video a while back, pretty cool.

Ken, I assume you’re referring to steveinmarin. I did this after watching his excellent video. Maybe one of these days I’ll try to do a version that has a third cube in the center.

Very nice job. Creating one of these was my first woodworking experience, and it turned out to be a great trash filler. But yours looks great!
