It has been a while since I posted anything. My employer has had me on assignment in Australia. Oh darn! Well I got back in time to turn this walnut platter before Christmas. It measures 16 inches in diameter. I ruffed it out almost a year ago and let it dry to entire time. Anyway, I hope to have more time for woodworking now.

Hey Bob, great looking wood in that platter, nice design on the rim! Get to pick up any Australian woods? Thanks for sharing!

Wow, a year from start to completion….....and I start getting twitchy and disintersted when a project lasts me more than a week. Well done.

Mike:
I was not able to pick-up any wood in Australia. I was not sure about importing wood into the US. Besides, my company expected me to work when I was over there. Go figure! Oh well the time I did had off was great and the Australin people are fantastic had a great time.
