So, I realised I haven’t posted any scrollwork here. As I have spent an awful lot of time over the years kinking my neck in front of my scrollsaw, I thought I’d throw these two on here. I cut these the day before Christmas. Patterns are from a magazine. The one on the left is spalted birch, and the one on the right is apple. Oil finish. I normally like to use tung oil, but these were going to be used right away and tung oil takes to long to not smell so strong so I went up to the kitchen and used some Olive Oil. These sort of scroll saw projects are pretty quick as I didn’t have to design the pattern and already have lots of thin stock on hand. I try to get a handmade tag or decoration on all the Christmas presents.
Thanks for looking,
