Hi Ace, I’m intrigued by the variety and quantity of woods used in your boards. Nice Work!
Did you by any chance take a pic or two during the glue up? Really would like to see the creation process!

thanks,
Dale

I’ve seen many cutting boards here and I’d say they are all hard work. But for this one for same reason I really like it.

Thanks so much for the kind words folks, I’m quite pleased with my first batch.
smitty22, yes, I should have some in-process pics around here somewhere.
If I can find them, and if they are view worthy, I’ll post them and alert you.
But, I can definitely describe it if that would be of any help.

I’m still trying to figure out how to make these things better and more efficiently,
but I am always up for learning about woodworking…

Oh, and I just happened to have gotten lucky and found a local profession-but-retired
tree cutter who has been wonderful to me and gave me some great deals on about
a truckload full of exotic woods that he no longer had plans for. I lost a LOT of it in
trying to get it all true and straight, but still ended up with some really nice blocks,
to my eyes. Unhappily, I think he has pretty much sold off all of his stockpile.

Ecstatically, I think I might have just found an ongoing local source for more exotic
scraps!!!

Dale – [update] I think the in-process pics were so bad that we ended up deleting them all. I have a number of boards to make in my near future, so will document at least one better…
