Hi Bill,
This is a very interesting piece of furniture. It is very unique and it is certainly the focal point of the room. I have been asked to build a bed and this gives me some ideas.
I noticed the wainscoting in the first picture. Does this extend around the room or did you put it in here as a filler?
The only drawback, from my perspective, that I can see is that my wife feels it is her mission in life to constantly rearrange the furniture just for the sake of change. If I were to build something like this it would be “difficult” to continually rearrange it.

Hi Bill
Nice looking bed room unit. Did your son in-law help you with this unit? You guys did such a great job on the table and chairs you should keep working together.

That is a nice looking piece of work.
Did you build it as a modular unit, or is that all one piece?

Good looking bed unit. I think that it will look even better when and if you get around to changing the oak ply out for cherry ply. Might be a lot of work though.
