This is the scrollsaw stand that I made for my DeWalt scrollsaw that I purchased off of Craig’s List. It did not come with a stand and I was not going to pay the $100 plus I see for them. I went to the local Habit for Humanities store and found this old kitchen cabinet that would work just fine and only paid $25.00 for it. I added bracing to the top as shown in picture 3. I, also, cut a little over 4 inches off the bottom to get it closer to the height I wanted. I also added bracing to the bottom as shown in picture 4. It has a drawer and some storage behind the lower door. I still need to run to Lowes and get some lag screws to bolt the unit to the top.
Over all it took about three hours to convert the cabinet to what I needed. More useful for me and a lot cheaper.
As Norm would say, “a fun project, easy to build”.
Thanks for looking.
