I borrowed a friends lathe and made a couple of pens for Christmas gifts. I forgot to get pictures of the other one, but this is the first I made. I believe it was bocote. Dangerously, I will now be buying a lathe for my workshop.

Great job! Beware, the lathe can be very addicting. I’m trying to recover from it now. ;)

Thanks. I’m a little scared to actually get started for fear that I won’t be able to stop, But I think I’ll be ok. I am just getting started, so I’ll be looking for a little help in what tools and accessories I need to get going.
