I built a pair of adirondack chairs a few years back and figured I could use the practice at posting a project. I built a pair of them based on plans I found on the Lowe’s website.
This was my first and so far only attempt at building chairs. I used cedar that was already surfaced on three sides and hand-planed the 4th side to smooth it so I wouldn’t get splinters when moving them around.
Tools I used were a cordless drill, cordless circular saw, jig saw, and handplane.
They are unfinished and are now completely silver in color and the arms are a little chewed up (my dog seemed to take a liking to the taste of cedar when nobody was around).

The chair does look really comfortable. Nice job with minimal tools.

they do look really comfortable. its a different way of designing an old project that hasn’t been changed much in a while and i think it looks great.

This is a nice chair and it does seem as if these are timeless as they have been very popular over the years. It looks as if you are enjoying the “fruits of your labor”.
Thanks for sharing.

Very good and comfortable as well! Now you need to take some of that cedar scrap and replace your grill tables! LOL!

Pretty nice chair especially considering the tool you used!
