Made this from Pine & Fir and the Prop and exhaust is made from Oak, This is another of the projects that are in Norm Marshall’s book. I am going to give to to a grand son of a person who I use to work with before I retired. Next project is to attempt the Jet Fighter in Norm’s book, that one will be for my Great Grandson.

Nice job!! I’m glad to see someone else going through Norm Marshall’s book like I am. You’ve definitely done more of the projects than I have, but I’m watching your work to set some goals for mine!

Is it a P-40 Warhawk or a P-51 Mustang?

MAJOR OOPS!!!!!!! sorry about the name mix up…...it should be “Warhawk” and not Mustang…...don’t know what I was thinking when I put the wrong name on it…..I will just have to blame it on old age I guess…..thanks for setting the facts straight, I really do appreciate it.

That is a great looking plane. In fact all of the toys you have posted are outstanding. I am sure your ex co-workers grandson will really enjoy it.

My boss has a running T-6 trainer which I was fortunate enought to get to work on some of the avionics.
He also has a running DC-3 Army transport that we refurbished in 2010. Its on youtube “Miss Virginia”
