I built this table for a charity auction this past summer. The high school band had a fund raiser auction and this winner got to pick/design their table, small cabinet or other small furniture (within my skill range). The couple wanted an end table for their living room and after going through pictures and wood working magazines, we came up with this design. It is my first piece of furniture I have made for anyone other than ourselves (not counting some cabinets and book cases I built for the church and school). There are so many little flaws it is hard not to be self-critical, but the couple seems very happy with it. It is made of walnut with a lacquer finish.
