I built these gliders for my grandson and grand daughter.One out of cherry ang the other out of Iroko.Plans from Woodcraft.I think they came out pretty nice

Those are very cool! I just got some plans from Rockler just to learn the geometry of the pivots.
I will be making my own design.

I wonder if they have those plans for “really” big people. Like me! It looks like it was a fun project Bill, and I’m sure the kids were happy to get to use them. They look great.

You are absolutely right that this came out pretty nice. I really enjoyed looking at these gliders. I am sure that the children will enjoy these and can pass them on to their children.

Those are VERY nice. I particularly like the caning on the one chair – did you do that as well?

very nice gliders. i know that your granddaughter and grand son will love them. i never really thought about plans from woodcraft. maybe I’ll try them someday. thanks for the post.

You did a beautiful job on the rockers. I have two year old grand daughter that would probably love one of these. Once I get my shop set up I will have to see what I can do. Thanks for posting!
