This is my first real woods project, as my first hobby is classic car restoration. It is a cherry blanket chest with a solid aromatic cedar bottom, made for my future wife as a Christmas present. The chest was designed and built first using a 3d modeling software called Autodesk Inventor. It is a classic raised panel design with the added touch of 3 interior laser engraves. The first is Jess and her daughter, the second is her and I, and the 3rd is a phrase about family. I hope she likes it.
