I made this jewelry cabinet for my wife.
It is all QSWO.
I found the figured board in my stash of wood several years ago and have been waiting for the right place to use it.

Cutting stopped dados by hand
Test fitting cabinet
Ship lapped back

BLO applied

Hand hammered copper hardware installed and shellac applied.

By far my best handcut joinery

The drawer also has handcut halfblind dovetails and the door has pegged mortise and tenons.
There will be earring holders and ring bars added to the inside of the door.
Unfortunately, I did not have time to get these built before Christmas.
Our house is a craftsman styled house so this will go along with the rest of our furnishings nicely.
Thanks for looking.
Greg

Beautifully done. Stopped dados by hand in White Oak, too? Better you than me ;-)
Have your say...
