I made these two frames today for my girlfriend’s twin sisters who are huge Canucks fans. The pictures (posters 18”x24”) were handed out at a game this week for fan appreciation night. I though it would be nice to mount them on some foam core board and frame them (no glass on these). Nothing too fancey here – just some reclaimed oak with some walnut Danish oil. Half lap joints and just glued. Pretty basic stuff but I really like the way they turned out! I might have to make one more for myself…

I have the job of making frames for my wife’s oil paintings. I really like the look of these of lapped corner frames, but she always wants the traditional mitered corner frame. Maybe if I show this to her she will change her mind.
