Hey Folks,
After making the last shadow box I thought that my sister would love one for her dogs living and past, also she fosters dogs for the SPCA. So for Xmas, I came up with this a couple days ago.
The carcass is made from oak and walnut the splines are ebony. The center pillar is zebrawood and almost completly hides the glass break. The piece of zebrawood on the side was an after thought because the first one I made had glass that slit out the top so I hung it from wire. The doors on this made it front heavy when the doors are open so I added a cleat system on the back. The dogbone pillar turns into a bridge that covers the the door closer. I made name plates for her dogs and blanks for the orphans she takes in. I supplied her with a bunch of self stick letters and magnets with related objects glued to them. (Bones and paws and the such)
Hope you like
Thanks Rob
