This is a chair I made for my two year old son. The wood is pine and some 1/2 inch plywood they were throwing away at work. Its not fancy just screwed and glued with a couple of coat brown spray paint. I hate spray paint but I needed it done fast and its 28 degrees in my shop right now so stain and poly are not an option. The bear face is my second attempt at carving but I think it turned out OK enough. He seems to love it as he constantly reminds me “Daddy made it for me.” I plan to at most hit it with another coat of brown and some spray poly maybe this spring. To be clear since I also hate plywood the only plywood parts are the side panels. The bear, seat, arms, fron and back aprons and scroll work are all pine.

Very nice and your child should get great use of it. And a pretty good second attempt at carving too.

Great job, it does have that old shaker feel to it…nice beard!
