This was a wedding gift for one of our kids. It’s butternut and cedar lined. The carved letters are highlighted with 23 carat leaf. Though it doesn’t look it, the escutcheon is polished brass cut from 10 guage sheet. The carving on the lid is intended to appear woven.

Womnderful. I’m a big fan of finger joints and especially Greene and Greene style of proud, pillowed and pegged. The top must look amazing.
Nicely done.

Lotsa gr8 detail/s in this. I like everything about it. Very nicely done. I’m sure the receivers were ecstatic over it.
