Randy, my trusty side kick wanted to make his 17 nephews and nieces something handmade so we spent the day cutting out their names or favorite sports team on the bandsaw.

Bandsaws are a blast for making names and christmas gifts.

Randy posing for a picture – Holy crap! He must be proud of his work!

The blade broke while making the packers name! Bandsaw must be from chicago. Go bears!

The Reed and Randy show – we always do nice work. not much of it these days….but it’s nice.

We had fun making them. Now it’s Miller/ Bud time.

Merry Christmas Lumberjocks!

Cute idea…....think I will try to work up something for my wife along those lines!

Finally finished the Snowy Village erector set…...it helps disguise wires and enables multi-level terrain, all hidden beneath cotton batten. Will try to get it posted….......

Do you use a template for the letters or is it hand sketched then cut?

Thanks everyone,
I’m a Saints fan too because Drew Brees went to my Highschool in Austin Texas. But this time was set aside to
help a friend so I’ll have to make one later.

Jim, looking forward to seeing your project.
BTW – I asked my wife if she wanted me to make her one and she said, No thanks. I have something else in mind for you to buy me.
90 bucks for 3 oz. of something with the word toilette in the name. But it smells alot better than poplar.

No templates, all drawn freehand. I use to do drawings for signs and T shirts back in the 70s with this style of font so it’s familiar to me and works great. These were for kids mostly so we kept it simple and fun.
Having a table delt sander really helps too.

Vikings?.......please. This is Bear country. but I’m only 5 minutes from Wisconsin border so I like the Packers too.

If you’re going to make something to make them happy, you’ve got to have fun making them, right? I’d help you with the Bud!
