Here is a quick little present I made for my brother for his birthday. Its a piece of bloodwood sandwiched between two pieces of peruvian walnut. I printed out the shape I wanted then used carpet tape to adhere it the wood and cut it out on the bandsaw. After it was cut to rough shape I used files to shape the ears and points on the bottom of the wings. Then I took my orbital sander to the sides of the wings to sand the walnut down to expose the blood. I finished it with the ploy in a spray can. It’s about 6 inches long so it’s perfect to stand up on a desk.

Amos – Thanks, it was really easy to make. The hardest part was deciding on which logo to use. Here’s the site I found with all the Batman logos http://flowingdata.com/2010/10/15/evolution-of-batman-logos/.

Jim – haha. Thats just about exactly what my brother said when he first saw this.
