My wife’s family, being from Texas, loves to play the game “42”. So, I figured a cool Christmas present for my in-laws would be handcrafted dominoes. This is the second set I’ve made.
The dominoes and box are red oak. The “pips” are walnut. The dots on the underside of the lid are rare earth magnets. The tricky part was getting them deep enough to be able to cover them with a walnut dot, but not so deep so that the magnets fail to keep the lid on.
Looking forward to many games of “42” over the holidays!
