A friend of mine from work creates and sells her own handbags, jewerly…etc. She puts on shows at various locations around the bay area.
She needed a display case that would be small enough to carry yet large enough to hold her items and transport them to the shows.
She gave me a design she would like to see so I made it with 1/4” Luan ply compartments that I used half lap joints to construct (see first picture back left). I set it in a case of oak ply using dados to hold it in place. The outer case is jointed with biscuits and capped with white oak strips to conceal the dados. The back (1/4” luan) is removeable. She added the stain and hooks herself. She is pretty happy with the way it turned out.
Have a look at her site Sariwa Co
Thanks for looking.

It’s great to help a friend.
The display case turned out pretty nice. the finished case is too far in the first picture but it looks like the stain enhanced the design nicely.
Merry christmas!
