I made this weather station for my Son and his family for Christmas. It’s made out of lacewood and red oak. I stained the oak using General Finishes black stain. I’m very happy with the way the stained black oak and the lacewood contrast one another. For a finish I used an oil-based semi-gloss poly, applying several coats with light sanding in between coats.
