I made this weather station for my Son and his family for Christmas. It’s made out of lacewood and red oak. I stained the oak using General Finishes black stain. I’m very happy with the way the stained black oak and the lacewood contrast one another. For a finish I used an oil-based semi-gloss poly, applying several coats with light sanding in between coats.

That’s really nice. Wish I could blow it up. I’d like to see it closer. Nice work..they will be proud of that for sure

Great job. The lacewood against the black makes it pop out.
