This is a white storage box I made for one of my neighbors. It is made out of white 3/4 melamine with white band edging. When the seat is the lid and when it is lifted you can see the rails giving the seat support. I originally made it for her to be a toy box but it has been turned into a toy box slash blanket box slash display unit. I guess I should call it a multi functional box. Ther are no nails or screws holding it together. All of the sides and bottom are joined by dados and secured with biscuits and TB III. The only nails are brads on the legs to give extra support while the glue dried.

This is a nice toy box. The melamine was a good choice. It is tough and will stand up to a lot of abuse (which I am sure it will get over the years).

Thanks for the post.

Very nice design. I got a few ideas for a box I am building for a friend, too.

God Bless,

Good multifunctional item. I especially like the handles in the sides – that’s a detail that would have been easy to overlook.
