This was my first woodworking project – an end grain chopping board (we all have to start somewhere!).
I made this back in September/October for my Aunt’s birthday.
I chose timbers with striking grain patterns – Ash, Oak, and Sapele.
Apart from the lack of symmetry top to bottom with the pattern (yes, poor planning!), I’m fairly happy with it. My Aunt won’t use it though!

Hi ex, thanks! This one is a little on the thin side (as far as end-grain boards go). Around 1”3/8.
You’ll master an end grain CB – if I can do it, anyone can!

Your board looks great j_c. I personally like the pattern the way it is. Thanks for sharing.
