I recently acquired this 18/36 drum sander and built a mobile base and storage for it. Base is simple half lap corners with locking casters. Storage box is just box jointed pine and my favorite hinges (stolen from Shipwright and Yorkshire Stewart). Thanks to all my LJ buddies for their help getting this tool up and running.

Nice job and nice sander. I’m in the process of trying to figure out which drum sander to get.

Great idea for the shelf. I have a Jet 16/32 and have yet to figure out what to put on that lower shelf. Surprisingly my sanding rolls are never where I can find them. Problem solved. Thanks for the tip.
