This is small version of a larger project that I’ve done for Christmas gifts in the past. The original on which I based the design on was the word “Peoria” cut from 3/4 pine and stained. I changed it to “Peace” added the dove and upgraded the materials to bloodwood and yellow heart. When I can get holly I prefer it for the dove. This dove was done with 1/8” baltic birch. The “Peace” is 1/2 inch thick, the base 1/4” thick. To speed up production (I made 4) I choose spray lacquer for the finish.
