Old Tools, New Handles

Hey everybody, here are some added handles that I have turned on my Springpole Lathe for a srewdriver and a cool old mini hammer.

The small hammer was my Grandfathers..and sported a plastic yellowish ugly octagonal handle…which I thought would be only right….to take a try at making over in my own style…and so….here it is!

Very handy little tool to have….for those small projects.

Lastly a group shot of some of the past handmade tools and handmade handles. New grandfather’s handplane tote, marking gauge, rats tail, screwdriver and….mini hammer!...lol

I have enjoyed learning about making handles and once more hope this might continue to encourage some creative ideas for some of your own great projects.

Thanks again for those who get a kick out of it.

Merry Christmas!

Joe

Nice stuff Joe. I have several older tools that could use new handles, just gotta get a lathe!

Great handles Joe! We all eventually are in need of these little jewels.

They look nice, I really like the overall look of them. Gives them a totally new personality.

So fine to give new life to old family tools.
Really sweet.
