Big Leaf Maple and Claro Walnut Urn with Finial Lid and Inlay

A hollow form urn with a loose fit stopper. The inlay is simply epoxy mixed with dark blue sparkles. I think it works, but then again I’m color blind. This is typical of the type of vessel turnings I do. This one was finished last week, around 12-15 or so.

Thank you for the kind comment. I really like the way BLM works with walnut. These are my two favorite domestics. The inlay was just a whim.

Thanks. This is a gloss wipe on poly – 4 coats. It was also buffed out and waxed with the Beall system. I prefer the tactile results after buffing.
