This is a rattle I created for my nephew, Connor. It is made of maple and walnut. I fashioned two captive rings to act as the rattle with a little cheap hook tool as the ring tool / chisels are too pricey for me. Seemed to work alright. I sanded to 400 and then finished with a butcher block oil as I did not want him chewing on a finish and ingesting it. Thank you for looking.

I like it! He’ll love it and it’ll have teeth marks all over it, I predict. Thanks for sharing.

Nice with the glue-up and the burn rings. Lots of things for him to ponder with.
