Hello all,
This is the first piece of furniture I’ve made; it’s made of out hard maple. Although a very simple cabinet, I learned a lot from this project. While milling my pieces on this project I ran into snipe for the first time from the planer and I learned the hard way that I should have cut to length AFTER planing but before this the planer had never given snipe so I learned the hard way! I also had some fun trying to get the the legs even so I could stop the thing from rocking; overall though it was a fun project though.

Nice job and interseting shape. Snipe is never a good thing on nice wood.

Great job!! We learn with each project, that’s what makes it interesting, fun and rewarding.
