I thought I’d post this clamp storage bench I came up with. I’ve noticed looking at shop pictures that we aren’t the only ones with storage problems. It won’t fit everyone, but it might interest a few. Heavy-duty slides are from Lee Valley, the top & frame design is stolen from Woodsmith. And there is one picture that shows Cronk, my partner in the shop and, who I built it for. He also just joined Lumberjocks, a mean 75 year old man ;)

I have drawers on my bench too. I do find it inconveinent on occasion when I have something clamped to the bench and the clamp blocks the drawer from opening. What I like best though is the sawdust on the floor. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who leaves footprints in my shop! Thanks.

Great storage idea. You never have enough storage.

Very nice shop! My problem of storage is that my shop also houses the lawn mower, yard vacumn, metal lathe, and it also has a welder.

That’s a nice workbench and it looks like you have a very nice shop, too.

CarverRog: perhaps these elements in your garage are far more than a “problem” but an opportunity for new ideas, new projects… hmmm ;)
(also, by the look of your work, you seem to have overcome the “Problem” quite well!!!!)

Great setup,I wish I could fit something like that in my shop. I barely have room for my clamps.

Too bad I did not see your bench before I built mine a couple months ago. What a great idea for storing clamps.
