I made this box as a gift for my oldest daughter to hold some of her more special ornaments. Raised panel and sides of box are sapele, top frame and base are cherry. Finish is 4 coats Arm-R-Seal wipe on. DImensions are 16”w x 11”d x 6”t
Used Suede-tex to line bottom and lower half of interior.
Also included some simple sleds built to make the miters more accurate and cut the slots for splines.

Wow, those two woods complement each other very well, never thought about that combination.
