This is an oak multi shelf display. It was built to replace an older one we had. The entire shelf unit is made up entirely of solid oak. I made the legs in an “L” shape and double routed all three visible edges to add design. I used a scrap piece from the legs to make a template and traced around it on each shelf so that the legs would pass through each one. I used a forstner bit to take out the majority of the wood before I chiseled out the rest. Only some Titebond glue and a few brads were used to secure each shelf while the glue dried. To finish the unit I used a mohogany stain and two coats of Cabot urethane gloss top coat plus a brass knob to add a final touch to the piece.

Looks nice. Are those 12 separate legs of 4 long ones?

There are four individual legs that pass through each of the two middle shelves.

Nice job – the shelf unit looks great. Had to turn my laptop on it’s side to get the proper view :-))

Very nice piece. I like display units like this. The finish looks good as well.
Thanks for sharing this project.

I like the bow-front shelves, and the matching detail in the base. Cool shelf!
