Now I know I should I should clean my shop a bit more often. I got up this morning and went into the shop and found these things growing in the chips under my lathe. The big one is about 10” tall x about 3” in diameter and one small one is about 6” tall x 3 1/2” in diameter and the smallest (so far) is 5” x 3 1/2” and all 3 are black walnut with BLO finish. I got the inspiration from Grondor with his mushroom a day project. BTW all you guys are great inspiration.

If anything has to grow in your shop, I’d say those are a pretty wonderful option. Nice work!

P.S. What does “BLO” stand for?

Good Question.

BLO = Boiled Linseed Oil
