This table is a bit of a departure from my normal use of a mesquite slab. So I’ve named it “Stretching my legs!” Besides the slab, the legs are also mesquite and it is finished in tung oil. And yes once again mesquiteman slabbed the lumber for me!

Beatuiful. Love the natural edge and look of it. Great Job.

Great job. I have a few Mesquite slabs. I was curious, did you use a sanding sealer or preconditioner? I applied tung oil to a well sanded surface and got blotching. Thanks

Rick, No I don’t use anything before applying the tung oil. I’ve never experienced blotching with mesquite.

Thanks for the comments!
