Great hotel. Take a look at http://purplemartin.org/main/mgt.html. They have lots of info on Purple Martins. They have a design for the holes to restrict entrance by starlings and screech owls. (No Foolin’) Use the top 1 3/16” of a hole 3” in diameter. Looks like a half moon laying down. I’ve stuck with the 2 1/8” entrance holes for houses and gourds. Get the house out early to get residents.
