I saw this in a magazine so I thought I would try it. The wood is redheart and the outside finish is blo and ca the inside finish is salad bowl. Thanks for looking

Nice job with this one. And just the inspiration I need for a piece of spalted wood I have.

Thanks for the comments. I used good sharp tools (easy wood tools). And it started as 2 1/2×2 1/2×5 block.
I used a nova chuck and went slow and steady with light cuts. It almost came out a couple of times. But im happy with it.
