Simple wine balance out of Mesquite, finished with Walnut oil. In researching how to make these, I saw many “variations” on the angle for the base, as well as for the hole.
The base here is at 30 degrees, and the hole is at 40 degrees, which will have the bottle held at a straight plane to the counter top….or darn near it.
The inlay is 1/4”. I wanted to make it where it was more “random” or without pattern.
Had a lot of fun making it, of course can’t keep it, so it will be given away at the office holiday party.
I also saw many comments on previous wine balance’s, where it was noted that the value of the wine wasn’t too high…maybe out of confidence in the balance. I don’t drink wine, but the bottle of Armagnac is being balanced is worth way more than the wood….lol.
Thanks for looking.
