Miter Saw Stop Block

For cuts less than 12” or so, I could clamp the stop block to my miter saw. For anything over that I’d have to rig up some strange sort of stop block connected to something else, or just not use one. So I made this jig. Basically it’s just a sliding stop block on top of a piece of plywood. I added a little hook on the side so it’ll always be on the same spot on my miter saw.

Definitively not as nice as having a table, but it gets the job done for anything up to about 24”

That’s a great use of the available clamp on the left side. My miter saw doesn’t have that (Hitachi).
