Finally finish my rescued from the wood pile tele build. http://lumberjocks.com/projects/51466
1st was finding time to clean the shop so that I could spray 7 coats of Nitro on it with-out to much disturbance. Applied 2 coats with just enough blue dye to tint it like faded blue jeans and then 5 clear on top. sanded out to 1500, 2 buffings with 1 coat of wax to finish off the mirror. 2nd part of the delay was that I couldn’t decide on a pic-guard lay-out I liked. I’d lay one out on paper and look at it for a couple weeks,... naaa didn’t like it and layout another.
The pick-ups are strat hot rails and the humbacker is a full shred.
I will change the strat pickup covers to black.
So far it rocks.
