Finally finish my rescued from the wood pile tele build. 1st was finding time to clean the shop so that I could spray 7 coats of Nitro on it with-out to much disturbance. Applied 2 coats with just enough blue dye to tint it like faded blue jeans and then 5 clear on top. sanded out to 1500, 2 buffings with 1 coat of wax to finish off the mirror. 2nd part of the delay was that I couldn’t decide on a pic-guard lay-out I liked. I’d lay one out on paper and look at it for a couple weeks,... naaa didn’t like it and layout another.
The pick-ups are strat hot rails and the humbacker is a full shred.
I will change the strat pickup covers to black.
So far it rocks.

Dude that’s sweet. That color is absolutely awesome. Did you make the neck and fret board as well?

No, I didn’t make the neck had it from a salvaged strat that i use for templetes.
I just cut some maple into blanks from this years cutting of firewood, will be a year before its ready.
My next one I will build the neck.
