Bird perch

Well just recently started the wood working hobby. Thought I would make a cutting board, a practice one from pine, that went horribly wrong. So I decided to try it on a smaller scale with some hardwood, maple and purple heart. Had much better results, but too small for a cutting board. Then I thought my bird might enjoy a couple of perches around the house. The checker board base I made, the wood stick from the pet store. A 3 inch hanger bolt holds them together, while 3m double sided tape holds it firmly to the wall.

Thats a VERY nice perch, but your bird might get a surprise in a few days. You might consider screwing it to the wall. As strong as that tape is, that looooong moment puts quite a strain on that back. :)
