This Strat style guitar body is a butcher block construction using reclaimed mahogany (red) and hemlock (natural) woods in a solid checkerboard pattern.

Kind of hard to play with just one string, isn’t it? Just kidding! That mahogany is beautiful as well as the rest of the guitar.

I’ve toyed with doing this for one of my builds. Of course, I have about 5 that I have to finish first before even thinking of starting it, but cool to see it all layed out. Nice work.

Hi Steve. Great shocking look !

What glue did you use, , epoxy?

ANytime I chop in my checkered kitchen tables, I´m afraid of trillions of tiny wood squares start to fly about,

Fortunately you don´t chop on your Strat, do you? :)

This is a dope guitar. I love the wood inlay for the checkerboard pattern rather than using paint.

This one is my favorite.
How is the sustain?
