About 3 months ago I asked for suggestions, based on the look of our family room, and adjoining kitchen, what style suggestions would others do to update our wet bar.

I took the advice of David Grimes and stayed with the Oak theme and it came out pretty well. I used Pratt & Lambert “light oak” oil base stain, but instead of Varnish I used Minwax ” water based Polycrilic clear gloss spray. I couldn’t be happier the way this product lays down flat and smooth I’m a believer.

Here is the finished project.
